My Lockbox is a software to protect your confidential and sensitive data by password protecting your folders. This ensures that your folders are accessible to only you and safe from unwanted intrusions.
The interface is not the best out there and will take some time to get used to. Like the previous version, there is no guide or tutorial to help you with using it. The software also packs some themes but none of them make the software look any better than the default theme. In my opinion, the developers should put some work into making the software look more modern and visually appealing.
My Lockbox has two modules. The first is a pretty useful File Browser that works quite similar to the traditional file browser in Windows OS. You can use the built in browser to navigate to your files and to set a folder as a lockbox. The other is the Control Panel. Here you can toggle protection on and off and decide which applications to white list. The white list applications will have access to the locked folders so be careful which application you white list.
To sum up, My Lockbox offers basic protection. In the free version, you can only password protect a single folder and to protect multiple folders you will have to purchase the Pro version. The software, though free, is nowhere near other similar software that packs much more features. An alternative software to this one will be TrueCrypt.
